“College Advisory Program”

What: College Recruiting Seminar

When: Monday February 27th

Who: U15 - U17 at 6:30pm  

Where: DASC Offices 39th and MN.

Purpose of event:

-To provide an opportunity for Dakota Alliance players and families to learn more about college soccer, college soccer programs, and the college recruiting process

 

Basic format of the event:

-Introduction of DASC Panel

-Seminar that targets the specific age group and the desired position within the college recruiting track the student athlete should be

-Question/Answer period where players and families get to ask questions.

 

What you can expect (at a minimum):

-Be introduced to the college recruiting process.

-Be able to ask coaches questions you have about college soccer and the recruiting process.

-Become informed on what steps your player and your family can take to facilitate the college selection process.

-Leave with basic literature regarding aspects of college soccer recruiting, such as:

                Recruiting concepts defined and explained.

                How to market yourself to colleges you are interested in attending.

                Rules and guidelines for communicating with colleges and college coaches.

                Timeline of important events / dates.

                Showcasing (events/opportunities/camps) / Evaluation opportunities.

                Internet sites of importance.

                List of current Dakota Alliance Soccer Club college players and where they attend college.

                Other pertinent information?

 

What you should bring:

-A short list of questions you would like to ask the coaches (~ 1-2 questions).

-Pencil/Paper.
