Dakota Alliance Soccer Club Sends 16 to the Next Level on National Signing Day

Dakota Alliance Soccer Club Sends 16 to the Next Level on National Signing Day
SIOUX FALLS, SD – Sixteen Dakota Alliance Soccer Club players have declared the college where they will continue their soccer careers.
The area high school seniors represent seven different high schools and one soccer club, Dakota Alliance. They are committing to 12 different colleges.
Three of the club teammates will compete in NCAA Division I.
Signing with Texas A&M University is Karlie Mueller of Roosevelt High School.
South Dakota State University signed Alyssa Brazil of O’Gorman High School.
The University of South Dakota signed Roosevelt’s Brenna Bills.
Five of the club members will compete in the NCAA Division II Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
The University of Sioux Falls signed Alexia Schumacher of Lincoln High School.
West Central High School’s Allie Macdonald signed with Northern State University.
Watertown’s Demi Rorvick committed to Southwest Minnesota State University.
O’Gorman’s Elizabeth Busch committed to the University of Minnesota Crookston.
Wayne State College inked Courtney True of Yankton.
Rounding out the class of 2012 Jacob Moir of Harrisburg is headed for the University of Sioux Falls. Luther College is the destination for Roosevelt’s Cecelia Douma and Lincoln’s Jon Gednalske. O’Gorman’s Ashton Weber is headed for St. Catherine’s University. O’Gorman’s Alex Nelson and Roosevelt’s Zach Schneider committed to Dakota Wesleyan University. Lincoln’s Anthony Brandner and O’Gorman’s Matthew Meisinger are headed to Concordia University Nebraska.
A ceremony will be held at the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club offices at 7:00 p.m. today.
Dakota Alliance is the merged community soccer organization made up of the former Sioux Falls Soccer Association and Dakota Gold Soccer Club. Last year more than 7,000 youth participated in soccer through the two organizations’ recreational and competitive programs.
