How does it all work?
~ Get registered to play. You may register online (go to our registration link on this website) or register by paper form. Forms available at the Lewis Drugstores, sport shops and through the New Hope Family Church mailing.
~ Registration for guaranteed placement for the Spring season is February 2nd, 2010. Deadline for the Fall season is generally in mid June.
~ Pay the registration fee. Age appropriate fees are noted on the form.
~ Supply copy of your child’s State Certified Birth Certificate. This is a mandated requirement from the National Soccer Federation. Baptism or hospital certificates are not acceptable.
~ There are no Coed teams. Your child will play with his/her same gender and age group. Players that are 4, 5, 6, and 7 years old play with their single year age group. Players 8 and 9 years old play together in the U10 division. Players 10 and 11 years old play together in the U12 division. Players 12 and 13 years old play together in the U14 division. Ages 14 and above play together in the U19 division.
~ The Spring season games generally run from early April through late May whereas the Fall season games run from late August though mid October. Games are played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with one to two games scheduled weekly per team. Week night games are generally scheduled no earlier than 5:30 PM. Saturday games are generally scheduled between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
~ 4 year olds will have games at the Lions Park Complex, 49th & Southeastern. 5, 6 and 7 year olds will have games at Spencer Park Complex at I229 and Cliff Ave. 10 and 11 year olds will have games at Tomar Park, off of Minnesota Ave and Lotta. 8 or 9 year olds OR 12 year olds and above, will have games at Yankton Trail Soccer Complex.
~ Dakota Alliance Soccer teams are formed geographically. We do ask for the school attended and the school closest to you. As the city grows, that information often helps us in determining your address location.
